We’ll start the day at Sprecher’s for lunch, your choice of
Turkey Club w/fries, Brew House Cheddar Burger w/fries, 1”
Margherita Flatbread, Southwest Wrap w/fries or Pub Salad.
Then we will have some time to shop downtown or relax down
by the lake until we climb aboard the Walworth to enjoy all the
scenic beauty of the lake with a fully narrated tour as you
cruise completely around lovely Lake Geneva in approximately
two hours. A snack bar and cash bar provide refreshments
while you are on board.
Reservations for trips in this issue open on Tuesday, May 1 at
9:00 am. When submitting your request, please list your trips in
order of preference. Please send your requests via email at
[email protected] or leave a message at
847-234-2209. It is only necessary to leave one message. You
will receive a confirmation call from Dickinson Hall within 24
hours. Payment must be made within 3 days to secure your
reservation. Credits for cancellations will only be issued if we
can fill the opening from a wait list. All trips leave from
Dickinson Hall unless otherwise noted. Please arrive 15
minutes prior to departure time. Meal costs are not included
unless noted. Come join us!
Gourmet Trotters
Meet new friends and enjoy a meal together as you enjoy an
old favorite or try something new! We welcome your
recommendations. Transportation is $10; meal is “Dutch treat.”

Opening Doors for Education Home Tour
Thursday, May 10, 9:00 am, $85 Members Only
Join us for The Spirit of 67 Foundation’s 16th annual Opening
Doors for Education Home Tour. The tour will showcase four
lovely Lake Forest homes known for their unique history and/or
distinctive style following with a buffet lunch at the Lake Forest
Club. This tour is part of the foundation’s fundraising events to
raise money for grants given to schools for their fine arts
programs and much more. (Substantial walking)
Gundis Kurdish Kitchen, Chicago

cuisine and the talent of their chef make their Chicago debut.
At Gundis you can sip black tea and wine, and enjoy the robust
flavors of a kitchen that celebrates and shares the food and
culture of the Kurds.
Memphis, Porchlight Theatre

From the underground dance clubs of 1950s Memphis,
Tennessee, comes the Tony Award-winning Best Musical that
bursts off the stage with explosive dancing, irresistible songs
and a thrilling tale of fame and forbidden love. Inspired by
actual events, Memphis is the story of a white radio DJ who
wants to change the world and a black club singe r who is ready
for her big break. Optional light lunch will be served at
Dickinson Hall at 11:15 am for $10. Please let us know if you
will be at lunch when you register for the trip. (Minimal

Restaurant has been an irreplaceable fixture for over 60 years.
They use the finest ingredients, starting with freshly

Macbeth, Shakespeare Theatre

Come see Shakespeare’s Macbeth in the exciting new
Shakespeare Theatre, The Yard. Diving into the psyches of
Macbeth and his Lady, Shakespeare’s seductive, twisted text
delivers an explosive, unforgettable examination of what drives
a person to risk utter destruction for power. Magic, witches,
dark moors, and stunning sights will delight and trick the eye.
We will enjoy lunch at Riva’s. (Minimal walking)
Lake Bluff 4th of July Parade
We would love to see you at the Lake Bluff 4th of July parade
on none other than July 4th! Walk with us and show your
support of Dickinson Hall or sit along the parade route to cheer

Pirates of Penzance, Music Theatre Works

Everybody’s favorite softhearted buccaneers are back, and
they’re in the mood for matrimony! Join the dashing Pirate
King, the bumbling Sergeant of Police and the Modern Major
General for a swashbuckling good time. We will enjoy lunch at
Trattoria Demi. (Minimal walking)
