Senior Resources Commission The purpose of the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Senior Resources Commission (SRC) is to serve as an advisory board to the Lake Forest Mayor and City Council and, as appropriate, to the Lake Bluff President and Village Board regarding recommendations for the coordination and planning for senior residents in order to preserve their dignity, independence and quality of life. By advocating for educational, social and cultural opportunities and supportive services including transportation, we help seniors maintain their independence. Especially as our population becomes older, the SRC has an essential role in determining the unmet needs of our senior residents and recommending actions for necessary services/programs/ funding. As an integral part of its charge, the SRC provides mission-based leadership and strategic guidance to the Dickinson Hall Senior Center and supports funding for its services/programs. As part of this process, the SRC reviews all funding requests to the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Senior Citizens Foundation and makes appropriate recommendations.
