So many of us learned how to cook for a crowd, nowadays we
don’t have the same crowd to cook for and sometimes we’re
tempted with unhealthy options or eating out because it’s
easier. Dickinson Hall and Taste Buds in Bannockburn have
teamed up to offer a solution! Join this class to learn to prepare
a healthy dinner for one or two. This event is BYOB if you are
interested in sipping while we simmer. Transportation is on
your own, we will meet at Taste Buds.
Reservations for trips in this issue open on Wednesday,
January 2 at 9:00 am. Please submit your request listing
your trips in order of preference. Email your requests to
[email protected] or leave a message at
847-234-2209. It is only necessary to leave one message.
Payment must be made within 3 days to secure your
reservation. Credits for cancellations will only be issued if we
can fill the opening from a wait list. All trips leave from
Dickinson Hall unless otherwise noted. Please arrive 15
minutes prior to departure time. Meal costs are not included
unless noted. Come join us!

Over the course of a night, the stories of royalty, quarrelsome
fairies, young lovers, and a troupe of aspirational players are
woven into one enchanting tapestry backed by a vibrant score
blending jazz, blues, rock, and 50’s doo-wop. Lunch will be at

Sunday, March 31, 2:30 pm, $40/$50 Non-Members
Jane Glover serves up a rich brew of Bach and Haydn,
including Bach’s delightfully whimsical Coffee Cantata with
soprano Joélle Harvey and energetic Orchestral Suite No. 2.
Two symphonies by Haydn - the crackling Fire and the
contemplative Philosopher - add a dash of classical flavor. No

The “city below the city” is used by Chicagoans every day. We
will join Chicago Architecture docent in this one-and-a-half mile
tour which introduces the history, design and unique surprises
of the underground system. This is your chance to see what
the Pedway system is all about! Lunch will be at Revolution
Brewpub. (Substantial walking)
Meet new friends and enjoy a meal together as you revisit an
old favorite or try something new! We welcome your
recommendations. Transportation is $10; meal is “Dutch treat.”
