Service of Lake County which employs the Senior
Advocate. Funding for the Senior Advocate position is
provided by Shields Township, the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff
Senior Citizens Foundation, and by your thoughtful
donations.

Dickinson Hall Transportation Services
Dickinson Hall’s Senior Transportation Program has a car and a
wheelchair-accessible bus available for the transportation needs
of eligible residents. Our friendly and professional drivers are
available weekdays from 8:45 am - 3:00 pm for local area
appointments, errands, and visits to Dickinson Hall. Scheduling
is on a first-come, first-served basis. Rides are $3 each way, with
a reduced fare of $2 each way for those who qualify for the
Benefits Access Program. Tipping is not permitted. Reservations
can be made by calling 847-234-2209. We also offer weekly
scheduled trips to Hawthorn Mall (Tuesdays or Wednesdays) as
well as Jewel (Thursdays except the last) and Mariano’s (last
Thursday of the month).
Dickinson Hall is pleased to expand the Senior Car
Service with additional local rides on Wednesdays.

Dial-A-Ride: Local Transportation Options
PACE has expanded its Dial-A-Ride program, which serves
older (60+) and disabled individuals living in Lake Bluff,
Knollwood and all of Lake Forest. Destinations include all parts
of Shields Township and Lake Forest, plus other selected
locations. The bus service operates Monday - Friday, 6:00 am -
6:00 pm, and costs $3 one way. Call Shields Township Offices at
847-234-0802 for more information. (Note: Registration must be
completed one week prior to use of the program.)
Local Taxi Options
Several local taxi companies offer a $3 off ride coupon for
seniors (65+) for transportation within the Lake Forest High
School District 115 only. You may request 16 coupons in a
30-day period. For more details and to register for this program,

Arthrossage
Arthrossage reduces pain in joints affected by osteoarthritis,
degenerative joint disease and rheumatoid arthritis. Client

Hand, Foot, Neck and Shoulder Massages
Treat yourself to a half-hour hand, foot, neck or shoulder
massage or any combination thereof. These individualized
half-hour massages will help relax muscles, ease tension and
reduce stiffness and fatigue. 30 minutes/$35
Podiatry Appointments
Dickinson Hall Members only
Podiatrists Dr. Dawn Hackel and Dr. Nick Ivancevic are
available by appointment for routine care. Medicare may cover
your visit every 63 days; please speak with the doctor regarding
your specific case. Charges from Medicare apply until your
deductible is met. The doctor’s office will call you to confirm

10:00 - 11:00 am
Nurse Patti Mikes will visit Dickinson Hall the second Monday
of each month at 10:00 am to give free blood pressure checks.
