A great day on a hot April
day saw two teams fight it
out in the sun. A star
studded show included
Peter Withe, Gary Shaw,
Richard Sneeke, Tony
Daley, Ian Hamilton and
many more.
Bobby Thomson, a Villa
vetaran who celabrated
his 80 th birthday was on
the bench. Bobby played
140 times for Aston Villa
scoring 46 goals in a 4
year spell. Allthough he
also played for wolver-
hampton Wanderers he is
best remembered on the
pitch at Villa.
Richard Sneeke is be-
coming a regular with the
Peter Withe side. He still
has the class of a pro,
playing
for
West
Bromwich Albion for 5
.years scoring 34 goals.
Richard rolled back the
years with his silky skills,
displaying a midfiled skill
that some try for years to
achieve.
Dele Adebola made his
debut for Peter Withe, a real
big strong player at left back
today. A few tried to get
passed him but failed on
many occasions.
Dele
graced the St Andrews Turf
at Birmingham City 129
times scoring 29 times. Well
know in the Midlands ho
scored 13 goals in 1998-
1999. The year after he was
moving to La Liga sida Las
Palmas but due an injury the
move fell through.
