DISCIPLINE SUMMARIES DR. ABC On August 2, 2017 the Discipline Committee released its decision in the case of Dr. ABC and found that the allegations that he had engaged in sexual impropriety with a patient and had engaged in disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional conduct were not proved. The allegations pertained to two young female patients over the period 1982 to 1985. Patient 1 was between the ages of 4 and 7. It was alleged that Dr. ABC sexually assaulted her during medical appoint- ments and also required her to stand in the corner of the room with her clothes off. Patient 2 was the younger sister of Patient 1. It was alleged that Dr. ABC required her to stand in the corner with her clothes off. The Committee held that while Patient 1 was cred- ible, her evidence was not reliable. Some aspects of Patient 2’s story could have happened, but the details were unclear. The Committee concluded that the al- legations were unproven. APPEAL SUMMARY DR. REZA YAGHINI The decision of the Discipline Committee was pub- lished in Dialogue, Issue 1, 2018.
