NEW COUNCIL MEMBERS
New Public Members
Mr. Mehdi Kanji
The College is pleased to welcome Mr. Mehdi Kanji, of Richmond Hill, as a new public member of
Council.
Mr. Kanji has worked in several ministries in Ontario for more than 35 years in various manage-
ment and leadership positions in human resource management, policy development, and in pub-
lic/private partnerships in infrastructure development. He has also served on several community,
local and international boards and committees.
Mr. Kanji has a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Psychology from York University
and a Master’s Degree in Industrial Relations from the University of Toronto.
Ms. Catherine Anne Kerr
The College is pleased to welcome Ms. Catherine Anne Kerr, of Stevensville, as a new public
member of Council.
For the past nine years, Ms. Kerr, has been a public member of Council at the Royal College of
Dental Surgeons of Ontario and participated on numerous statutory committees, ad hoc com-
mittees and working groups.
Ms Kerr retired from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care in 2010 after 20 years of service.
She was Manager of Operational Support, Corporate Services and Organizational Development
Division at the Ministry, where she was responsible for the overall management and operation of
the Assistant Deputy Minister's Office.
Mr. J. Paul Malette
The College is pleased to welcome Mr. J. Paul Malette, Q.C. of Toronto, as a new public member
of Council.
Mr. Malette studied law at Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1975.
Mr. Malette was General Counsel, Regional Director Tax Law Services Division, Department of
Justice, Ontario Regional Office from 1986 until 2017.
