Letter From The Editor
Dear Readers,
Having had a busy first semester, we are jumping right into semester two
by embarking on our first experiences at hospital sites. Interning is a great
opportunity for EFSC students to learn what it is like to work out in the field.
Our students are at Parrish Medical Center, Cape Canaveral Hospital, Palm Bay
Hospital, Holmes Regional Medical Center, Sebastian Hospital and Viera Hospital.
Everyone is very nervous and excited to see what it is like to be a sonographer
in the real world. We are able to observe a variety of interesting cases and even
assist with surgeries. At the same time, we are learning about the emotional
aspects of healthcare by dealing with patients with sad diagnoses. Being able
to navigate through the ups and downs of the field is an important part of our
profession.
