KRUUSE I Suture KRUUSE Chromic Catgut Twisted multifilament with a monofilament appearance: For secure knot tying and easy handling Coated: Chromic coating for prolonged absorption time Absorbable: By hydrolysis KRUUSE Chromic Catgut, an absorbable suture, is obtained by longitudinally slitting the submucosa of bovine intestine, twisting the ribbons and joining them in wet condition to give a monofilament finish. The rate of absorption is slowed down by treatment with chromic salt solution. Suture I 13 ยท 362 Absorption is faster in infected tissue and in tissues with increased levels of proteolytic enzymes (stomach, cervix, vagina).
