KRUUSE I Suture KRUUSE Chromic Catgut Suture I 13 ยท 344 Twisted multifilament with a monofilament appearance: For secure knot tying and easy handling Coated: Chromic coating for prolonged absorption time Absorbable: By hydrolysis Colour: n Natural KRUUSE Chromic Catgut, an absorbable suture, is obtained by longitudinally slitting the submucosa of bovine intestine, twisting the ribbons and joining them in wet condition to give a monofilament finish. The rate of absorption is slowed down by treatment with chromic salt solution. Indications: KRUUSE Chromic Catgut sutures are indicated for soft tissue approximation and ligation, where absorbable sutures are indicated, including: n Subcutaneous tissue n Uterus n Ligation of ovarian vessels and ligaments Absorption is faster in infected tissue and in tissues with increased levels of proteolytic enzymes (stomach, cervix, vagina).
