Bogan-tastic Bingo

n 17 January, about 240 bogans rallied together at Wonthella Bowling Club in Geraldton to flaunt their flannos,
tight jeans, stubby shorts and, most importantly, mullets.

Now in its third year, the Bogan Bingo event brought
a rowdy bunch of locals together to help raise money for
Diabetes WA.
Although the event sounds like it might have been a handful,
organiser and chief bogan Anne Williams said the crowd was
on its best behaviour and were all there to support a good
cause.
“There were lots of missing teeth, flannel shirts, bum cracks
and mullets (both wigs and real) and I admit I shaved my
hair into a custom mullet for the night too,” said Anne.
“It was amazing. Everyone was especially generous and ready
to donate to the cause.”
