In times like these , I ’ ve often used video games to cope . They have been there when
I ’ ve needed them . A gentle candle in the night . And it hasn ’ t just been this past year , but every year .
Video games have brought me closer to people . They ’ ve helped me understand and empathize with people whose lives are very different from my own . Video games have gotten me a job . They have helped me pass lonely nights . Video games have given me new friends . And I ’ m just one person . Video games have been such an integral part of so many people ’ s lives and identities .
That ’ s what you ’ re going to see here . How video games intersect and impact people ’ s lives . Along with some damn good criticism .
Seeing a group of talented writers come together to make this zine . Seeing random passerby come together over Pokémon GO . Seeing friendships form through Overwatch .
