Editor’s Letter
Australians either love Summer or hate
it. For me, it depends on the weather.
I can’t think of anything worse than
sitting around in 38 degree heat in
Queensland, sweating up a storm,
trying – and usually failing – to keep
cool. But for other people, and that
could include you, that is their idea
of heaven! And while Queensland
weather is generally either hot, or very
hot, there are plenty of places around
Australia where Summers average
25-30 degrees – which to me, seems
perfect!
No matter what though, there is no
denying the Summer atmosphere is one of happiness. Everyone
is smiling, laughing and, it seems, having the time of their lives.
The sounds of children squealing as they run along the beach,
the smell of a barbecue in full force, the feel of the sun on your
skin and the taste of ice cream as it slithers its way into your
stomach, cooling you from the inside out.
