Service Excellence
Established in 2006, the World Luxury Hotel Awards
celebrates excellence in the luxury hotel sector and rewards
those establishments, who through their exceptional efforts,
truly put that extra sparkle on the definition of a ‘luxury’
establishment. “It is about rewarding and congratulating
hotels and resorts that have excelled beyond the normal call
of duty.” says Anton Perold, Managing Director for the World
Luxury Hotel Awards.

Awards are presented to luxury hotels in various categories
on a country, regional, continent and global basis. The
objectives of these awards are to recognise and celebrate
service excellence and to encourage key players to strive to
new heights to grow global competitiveness in the industry.
Considered the pinnacle of achievement for hoteliering,
the World Luxury Hotel Awards sets the basis for service
standards around the globe and prides itself on providing
true recognition to luxury hotels and resorts in their relevant
categories. Furthermore, the public is given a voice that
counts, as international tour operators, travel agents and
hotel guests are afforded the opportunity to vote annually
for their favourite destinations and elect the final winners.
Voting is based on facilities and service excellence and
hotels are encouraged to conduct voting campaigns in order
to garner guest votes.
On 29 October 2016, the company will celebrate a decade
of awarding service excellence to its valued participants at
its 10th annual gala ceremony, hosted by the St. Regis Doha
in Qatar. Guests from around the world will gather at this
auspicious occasion to receive their recognition on stage
and some of the finest golfing establishments in the world
will be awarded this evening, showcasing the true value of
luxury and outlining the definition of service excellence
in the hospitality golfing industry. “With over 800 hotels
nominated from 145 countries to participate in the world’s
most prestigious Awards initiative for luxury hotels in 2016,
the process and bestowment of titles are no small feat. We
welcome luxury establishments from around the globe to
participate in our awards, to secure their honour as ‘the best
of the best’”, says Perold.
