The Hawkswood
Collection -
A home from home
Golf is at the heart of the Hawkswood
collection of properties. With three accommodation choices,
all owned and run by the Ainscough family, guests have
an abundance of choice. Hawkswood House, The Roundel
and Bowhill Bed and Breakfast are located on the extensive
Hawkswood Country Estate, in the centre of Fife, and put the
Kingdom’s world-class courses within easy reach.
Hawkswood House opened in the summer of 2014. This
luxurious five-bedroom house can be rented privately, promising
a pe rfect home from home with spacious living areas and two
glorious reception rooms boasting log burners to keep those
chilly days at bay. And why not settle back and watch the large
flat screen TVs when you’re all settled in? With full Sky packages
included you can keep an eye on the golf tournaments from
around the world as you review your own day’s performance.
A terraced balcony provides a perfect and peaceful
setting for breakfast or evening drinks and from here
it’s little more than a putt away to enjoy Hawkswood’s
professionally designed, all weather, short game area. A
little in-house competition goes a long way before it’s time
for dinner. The short game area comes with five pitching
mats, six holes and two bunkers, so you can really test your
mettle from a wide range of lies and distances. It’s an ideal
preparation for the courses yet to be visited. A new 250-
yard private driving range has also been added for guests of
Hawkswood Country Estate, while golf bags can be stored
and clothes aired in a large boot room.
Golf may be the focus of attention in Fife and at Hawkswood House
itself, but guests can also enjoy a private Hydro Spa and outdoor
BBQ area.
The Roundel was the second Hawkswood Country Estate property
to be launched by the Ainscough family. It opened in the spring of
2016, and matches the exceptional quality, luxury and privacy of
Hawkswood House. With its cosy and intimate design, The Roundel
also has five ensuite bedrooms and can accommodate 10 guests.
The heart of the house is the magnificent round room with large
windows overlooking the garden and French windows giving easy
access to the Mediterranean barbecue, outdoor patio area and
the Hydro Spa housed under a purpose-built pagoda. With its high
conical roof the round room is the perfect place to congregate
and relax, for it is home to both a lounge and a dining area. Come
and go as you please as you move easily between the kitchen, the
bedrooms, the garden and, of course, the dedicated, professionally
designed golf facilities. The short game area includes three pitching
mats, nine holes and two bunkers, and guests also have access to the
driving range.
The Bowhill Bed and Breakfast is the most recent addition by
the Ainscough family. This elegant B&B ensures guests will be well
looked after while also offering privacy and peace and quiet. Four
luxury ensuite bedrooms await but you may want to spend your
evenings in the comfortable sitting room, beside a roaring fire and
sampling what the private bar has to offer.
Breakfast is specially created for you by John and Jo-Anne, and
served in the dining room each morning. Eat well and fuel up for a
day of world-class golf. Upon your return, you can relax in the sitting
room or enjoy a drink out on the terrace.
The Bowhill Bed and Breakfast is the perfect addition to the self-
catering properties at Hawkswood House and The Roundel.
