around terraced rice paddies and across a
limestone clifftop overlooking spectacular
white-sand beaches and the Indian Ocean,
Bukit Pandawa Golf & Country Club is the
first golf course of its kind on Bali if not all
of Southeast Asia. While the par-54 layout
is a time-saver – a typical round lasts just
135 minutes – it is not short on challenge or
distraction, with an abundance of bunkers
and strategically placed waterfalls sprinkled
into the latest Bob Moore creation.
The 13th hole is framed by three bunkers and
features curved stone walls in the foreground
and an ornate Kul Kul tower and the Indian
Ocean in the background has now got its
name as the course’s signature hole.
The club is the centerpiece of an expansive
development that will include several 5-star
54
Destination Golf .TRAVEL
hotels, including a Waldorf Astoria, Mandarin
Oriental and Swissôtel.
It comes as no surprise, that Bukit Pandawa has
been nominated by the World Golf Awards,
which will take place at La Manga Resort in
Spain later this year. They have been voted as
one of the World’s best par-3 courses. The team
at Destination Golf couldn’t agree more, they
certainly have our vote!
