Girona Golf Club is located in the Costa Brava
region, which is well known for having one of the
most beautiful coastlines of the Mediterranean
littoral.
The mild weather, the quality of services widely
available, the excellent infrastructure, the food, the
cultural and artistic legacy, Barcelona, the warmth
of the people, and the beauty and diversity of
the scenery make it the ideal place for all kinds of
activities.
Among them, golf has revealed itself, in recent
years, to be one of the most successful.
Girona Golf Club itself was founded in 1992 and
designed by FG Hawtree, who described it as one
of his finest creations.
Immaculately maintained, Girona Golf course
in sown with ‘Pencross Grass’ and relies on the
topography and natural lie of the land to give
it pleasing and elegant features, which in turn
provide a challenge for golfers of all levels.
Girona Golf course is an 18-hole par-72 course with
a length of 6673 yards. It has a beautiful clubhouse
built of natural stone, which makes it blend in
perfectly with its surroundings and has an excellent
restaurant and bar overlooking the course. The
Clubhouse, covers over 3,000 m², is built with
natural stone and glass. The restaurant and snack
bar serve exquisite Mediterranean food.
With a 45 minute radius, the Costa Braolf courses
in Catalonia. The attractiveness of this area has
captivated the European P.G.A. who are responsible
for the latest golf course opened here. If basing
yourself around the Girona area, there are nine
other golf courses within 25/40 minutes’ drive of
Golf Girona, making the location very hard to beat.
