The 8 Learning Management Questions 20
In the three sections which follow, each Learning Management Question is explained in its
numerical order. Each design phase is presented using a table that provides an overview of key information
relating to the phase and its associated questions. The commentary for each question is brief to enable an
easy flow of design information. It is important to point out that the LMDP is a conceptual framework
which informs the recording of information to some kind of ‘plan format’. This book does not dictate a
template or format as there are many available. We provide formatting examples at the conclusion of each
‘Question’ and how same could be presented for teaching reference. Our key point again is that the LMDP
‘questions’ signal what needs to be considered for optimal classroom curriculum design effect. We now
discuss the 8 Learning Management Design Questions, commencing with Phase 1 Outcomes and Learning
Management Question 1.
The diagram which follows is a global overview of the 8 Learning Management Questions, their location
within each ‘design phase’ and illustrates the cyclic process of developing the classroom curriculum.
The central premise of the Learning Management Design Process is a set of 8 design questions,
which produces key design ‘answers’. These answers as a collective, when installed in plan form, become the
classroom curriculum.
