VELUX® launches MyDaylight –
the world’s first virtual reality app
for renovation design
The app enables homeowners to design
their own room, visualising the real effect of
daylight, with 360 0 view and virtual reality
options.
MyDaylight is a powerful new app by VELUX
that enables homeowners to design their own
room or renovation project by easily selecting
parameters such as floor dimensions, roof
height and ceiling pitch.
They can then customise further by adding
windows, floor and wall finishes, the room’s
location, and more.
After approximately ten minutes, they receive
a digital simulation which can be viewed in
360 0 or virtual reality, and gives a life-like
recreation of the room and the changing
effects of daylight inside.

Woodfoil Makes A Striking Finish
for FrameXpress Simple solution for flood proofing

fabricator FrameXpress Ltd was recently
commissioned to produce a variety of
casement windows, doors and bifold doors in
a striking wood foil finish for a private home
set in a prime, much sought after location
in Kent. The highest specifications were
stipulated for the property which also needed
to be sympathetic to the local surrounding
area. With the rise in floods across the UK in
recent years, MACO has looked to improve
the locking systems in flood doors which then
in turn helps the protection of water entering
a property.
The company is well recognised for providing
only the highest standards in terms of choice,
accreditations and security, which were key
factors for the homeowners.
For this project, Ian Davis Sales Manager at

to ensure that the best in proven performance,
sound insulation and security would be
installed.

With the use of our Multi Matic tilt and turn
system elements, together with the MACO
C-TS combined lock, has enabled us to
innovate and develop a solution that offers
additional perimeter locking. Coupled with
the correct weather seals, the water egress is
prevented.
This system has been successfully tested to
PAS1188-1:2014 flood protection products
and building aperture products ensuring
piece of mind to installers and homeowners.
