Modernity interpreted in the style of the Victorian
Age: this stunning Grade II listed property in the
heart of Kensington is one of a prestigious collection
of historical buildings bordering Hyde Park.
The new design of its interior space,
carried out by Morph Interior, alludes to
the properties rich past, while giving it
a fresh personality. Following the brief
to integrate their clients’ Art Collection,
the team injected fresh life and colourful
exuberance to the space.
of the room. The dropped ceiling
conceals speakers, a 110” cinema
screen, automated projector and hidden
lighting, yet retains and highlights the
original cornicing. Splashes of colour in
the fabrics draw from the Artwork; the
room’s style belies its technical ability.
Highly distinctive furnishings and
decorative elements, flanked by a
creative use of lighting, enhance the
properties assets and accentuate the
theatre of the building. Morph Interior
have created a connective design thread
that flows throughout the house, while
taking into consideration the various
personalities of the homes occupants,
and tailoring the character of each room
to suit.
The Drawing Room features a bespoke
glass chandelier and continues the
apartment’s stained herringbone wood
flooring. An Art Deco style fireplace
nods to historical design progression
and former style incarnations, with
rich fabrics to compliment this notion.
The room is topped off with bespoke
cabinetry and track lighting for the
artwork.
Drawing on in-house experience, Morph
Interior designed a tailor-made kitchen
to produce a truly innovative space. The
book-matched Ebony Macassar, Corian
and colour-matched units marry with
elements of Corten steel to produce a
warm, soulful resonance. Combining
high-specification, integrated cooking
appliances, seamless automated
technology, and concealed lighting, the
room allows the material finishes an
uninterrupted stage.

The bedrooms use textures and layering
to create depth and opulence; all
designed to meet the clients’ brief.
The preciousness of marble and the
refinement of ebony, teamed with bright
yellow details, create a visual connective
thread between the Master bedroom and
the En Suite.
Morph’s expertise lies in redesigning
and remodelling homes to work in the
21st century. This can include layout
alterations, planning applications,
construction, designing bespoke kitchens
and bathrooms, not to mention adding all
those finishing touches.
