BRIO’S QUICK ON THE DRAW
WITH 286 DUAL POINT LOCK
Brio, the leading door hardware manufacturer, has launched a
new lock option for its exterior folding Weatherfold 4s system.
The unit is a 4 pin 20/10 Euro cylinder in stainless tell or cast alloy
and finish is satin and polished stainless steel or satin nickel.
Brio’s new 286 Dual Point Lock is suitable for Brio’s robust exterior
folding system Weatherfold 4s system with timber or aluminium
panels. It is also suitable for single hinge panels and French doors.
Brio Weatherfold 4s fixings have been developed for residential
and commercial top hung exterior folding doors where
weatherproofing of the opening is required. Weatherfold 4s 50,
75 and 100 hardware is suitable for timber door applications and
when extra corrosion resistance is required can be supplied with
precision stainless steel bearings.
David Newton, head of Brio UK says: “The 286 Dual Point Lock has
been developed as an optional alternative to using flush bolts
on panels. Aesthetically it’s pleasing on the eye, as well as being
easier to operate, as there is no bending down or reaching up to
lock or unlock the door which is the downside of flush bolts. This
makes it very friendly with regards to disabled access.”
The 180° operation of the low profile handle activates a 25mm
throw to lock off doors securely top and bottom. Both locking
and non-locking options are available, all with an integrated
escutcheon creating elegant, clean lines. No-fuss hinge fixing
blocks and simple machining make this dual point lock a very
quick and easy install.
The Dual lock will cope with timber panel thicknesses of between
38mm and 70mm with a height of 3.5m. For aluminium panels,
minimum width is 35mm.
“Brio Weatherfold 4s products are built to be extremely robust
with a rugged construction that is eminently suited to the
extremes of British weather,” says Newton. “Architects, specifiers
and manufacturers can rest assured that when they choose Brio
Weatherfold 4s hardware for their projects they are working with
a quality product that will not let them down and will give many
years of use.”
In common with other Brio products apart from looking stylish,
these systems are built to last. Brio offers an unbeatable 10-year
warranty on all Weatherfold 4s hardware.
