Bob Daisley- Known as a bassist for Ozzy Osbourne, has spoke about his battle with DPD. He has detailed how his trails and tribulations with DPD inspired the lyrics to Ozzy Osbourne’s ‘ Dairy of a Madman’
Chester Bennington- from the famous band Linkin Park, has been said to be suffering from DPD, there are many suggestions of this although he has not directly confirmed it to my knowledge. The songs ‘Numb’ and ‘Crawling’ do however depict the feelings of DPD closely.
Kid Cudi- Many sufferers of DPD have found the music of Kid Cudi to depict the feelings of DPD, although he has not himself commented on experiencing depersonalization. The following songs have been found to be closely related to DPD, ‘Man on the moon’, ‘Trapped in my mind’, and ‘Dr.Pill’.
The following songs have been closely related to DPD but the musicians are not reported sufferers of DPD. Many sufferers on online forum dpselfhelp.com have found the lyrics to these songs to accurately describe symptoms of depersonalization.

Within film, depersonalization may be depicted as well as the nature of existence, but there has not been many films directly dealing with depersonalization. The following films are the only ones to my knowledge that directly refer to depersonalization.
Numb (2007)- Starring Mathew Perry is a film many sufferers turn to, as it is the only mainstream production dealing with the disorder directly. The film is about the director, Harris Goldberg’s battle with the disorder, which was triggered by smoking marijuana.
Tarnation (2003)- Depicts a very personal account of Jonathan Caouette’s battle with DPD. The documentary film contains footage Caouette recorded as a child, spanning from over 20 years; it portrays his battle with DPD throughout his life.
Girl Interrupted- In the memoir Susanna Kaysen who suffers from Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)bites open the flesh on her hand after she becomes terrified that she has "lost her bones." She is later diagnosed with a depersonalization attack.
