Seismic Safety Outreach Program
In January 2016, the program expanded to Supervisorial
District 5 and District 10. In 2017, District 1 and District 4
were added, bringing the total to six locations.
Program Locations:
• District 1–Richmond Senior Center and Jackie
Chan Senior Center–Covers Richmond
• District 3–Portsmouth Square (SHE) and Willy
Woo Woo Playground (CYC)–Covers North Beach,
Chinatown, Fisherman’s Wharf, Polk Gulch, Union
Square/Financial District, and Russian, Nob, and
Telegraph Hills
• District 4–South Sunset Senior Center–
Covers Sunset
• District 5–Ella Hill Hutch Community Center–
Covers Fillmore/Western Addition, North of the
Panhandle, Lower Haight, Haight-Ashbury
• District 10–Bayview CYC–Covers Bayview Hunters
Point, Potrero Hill, Dogpatch, and Visitacion Valley
neighborhoods

SSOP Program QUICK FACTS
• Over 20,000 people reached through face to face
interaction at events and with presentations
• Over 8,700 people engaged through more than
350 trainings and workshops
• Over 1,500 Program Ambassadors graduated
with hands-on emergency preparedness training
