around the district
Ginnings Elementary School students listen during
a training session at the school’s third annual
Jaguars Swimming for Success program. The
program, hosted at the Denton ISD Natatorium,
provides Ginnings students with important safety
lessons on how to act when in or by water.

Ryan High School Senior Reja Crockett announced
that she will attend Prairie View A&M next fall. During
the last week, members of the RHS Class of 2016
signed their declaration of intent to formally share with
classmates which college/university they will attend.

Dr. Lesli Guajardo and Buddy Dunworth, the United
Way representatives for the district, presented a check
to Gary Henderson from the Denton County United
Way signifying the more than $113,280 donated by
district employees during the 2015-2016 school year to
the non-profit’s campaign.
