student commons supports communal dining, interactive performances, group learning, and socialization, and student services such as the student store and technology help desk. The commons is connected to a large, tiered courtyard with a deep porch–perfect for outdoor performances, dining, and pep rallies. Denton ISD has committed to transforming learning in both athletics and fine arts by introducing competition and training facilities suitable for 5A-6A classification. Band, choir, and theater students can perform in a variety of venues including the auditorium, Black Box Theater, student commons, outdoor courtyard, and 200seat lecture hall. Athletes will experience relevant state-of-the-art competition venues including a track, ample space for field events, baseball complex, softball complex, gymnasiums, and tennis courts. All venues are supported by athletic training and conditioning rooms and safe, well-appointed weight rooms to balance a student’s physical condition, health, and well-being.
