Students in Ashley Whitehead’s Advanced
Placement (AP) Chemistry class at Guyer
High work cooperatively through the
“spider web” activity. It encourages
students to problem solve, communicate
about a plan and collaborate to reach
a goal. Secondary educators in Denton
ISD who teach AP attended “AP Boot
Camp” this summer to learn new strategies
and techniques to make learning more
meaningful through hands-on activities and
problem solving.
