Rakesh Gupta, MD
Obstetrician-Gynecologist
Dr. Rakesh Gupta has been practicing medicine in North Texas
since 1990. A near life-long resident of Dallas, Dr. Gupta
graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southern Methodist
University in 1979. He attended medical school at the
University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and in 1982
graduated as the youngest American medical school
graduate at the age of 22.
During his residency at UTMB Galveston, Dr.Gupta was
1987 Resident of the Year. Outside of his medical
practice, Dr. Gupta enjoys golfing and spending time
with his wife of 31 years and his three children. He and
his college sweetheart, Kelly, have raised three bright
and successful children.
Dr. Gupta’s daughter Katie, 28, is a stock broker for
Merrill Lynch in Manhattan. His son Alex, 26, is a
resident in general surgery at UC San Francisco
and his son Ryan, 22, is completing his master’s
degree in Mechanical Engineering at SMU.
