SCANNING FOR EFFICIENCY :

THE dental sleep profession has evolved to scanning impressions instead of the use of impression materials . For the dental sleep clinician , this means your practice can use an intra-oral scanner to scan your patient ’ s arches and send that electronic digital file to DynaFlex for the fabrication of your sleep device . Appliance fabrication and delivery is now as simple as scan , print , build and deliver .

Digital File Transfer
The digital file is created by an intra-oral scanner . The majority of scanners create a . stl file . A . stl is a file extension that stands for Stereolithography . This type of file that can be openly shared and sent to DynaFlex for digital model storage , digital model printing and appliance fabrication . After scanning , most scanners allow you to directly send your scans to Dyna- Flex . Simply locate us in the drop down box when selecting where to transfer your file . If your scanner does not support this feature , you can manually export your file through a secure file portal . In addition to your file , each digital case requires a separate prescription form that can be emailed when submitting your scan .
