On Saturday , May 12 , the UF Department of Community Health and
Family Medicine in Jacksonville graciously partnered with Jacksonville
Alumnae Chapter ’ s May Week / Scholarship Committee to host the
Super Senior Recognition Program to honor Duval County Super
Seniors . Among those who addressed the honorees were Soror Keitha
Nelson of First Coast News , who also served as the Mistress of
Ceremony ; Keynote Speaker Dr . Albert Chester II , founder of The
Capstone Institute and New Town Pharmacy ; and Dr . Pradeep Kadambi ,
UF Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs . Highlights of the event
include eight seniors receiving $ 2,000 scholarships for academic ,
leadership and literary excellence , as well as a catered post-ceremony
reception where honorees and their proud parents enjoyed lunch and
sounds of smooth jazz . The invited guests were quite impressed , and
many commented on how much they enjoyed the occasion and truly
appreciate our members for investing in the futures of our children .
