Deltas on a Mission
By: Soror Tiffanie Williams
The Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma
Theta Sorority, Inc. had the opportunity to take Liam
Lives Memory Boxes on their recent medical
mission trip to Jamaica. The Liam Lives
Foundation, Inc. is a faith based, non-profit
charitable organization, which seeks to provide
counseling and supportive services to families w ho
have suffered from pregnancy and infant loss due
to early miscarriage, stillbirth, preterm birth,
neonatal, and post-neonatal death.

The Memory Boxes are filled with contents to help
families process their grief and memorialize their
child. The box itself can be utilized as a place to
store other keepsakes as well. Memory Boxes are
donated to individuals, families, clinics, and
hospitals both locally and globally free of charge.
As a member of the Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter
and the President/Founder of Liam Lives
Foundation, Inc., I would like to thank members for
their support. The Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter
has assisted Liam Lives Foundation, Inc. in
promoting pregnancy and infant loss awareness
and education on an international level.
