Deming King Harriman initially began writing and illustrating children’s
books, and now is a multimedia artist working with collage and found
objects. “Butterfly Snake Goddess” is part of a series of works
focusing on female empowerment, identity, and divinity. “I’m inspired
by dreams, myths/archetypes, and mysticism, as well as the experience
of the female identity and representing empowerment through
surrealism.”
