Let me tell you about
a business success
story. My neighbor
Josie produces and
sells custom-made
ornamental fuzzy ball
thingy’s (Pom Pom’s).
Her fleet of compa-
ny-owned golf carts
are tastefully decked
out with a display of
showy tiny balls for
other to see. It works.
Business is blooming.
I
t all began when
Josie handcrafted
colorful tiny balls of
yarn for Bella, her
playful puppy who
loved to shred then
into fuzzy things just
for the fun of it. Be-
fore too long, after
some rough handling,
Bella shredded hun-
dreds of newly made
balls. Josie trimmed,
embellished and
strung them together.
Word got around with
help of her first spiffy
show-and-tell golf
cart. Orders began
to come in non-stop,

and that is how “The Fuzzy Ball
Thingy Company” got started.
