THE OFFSHORE by Russ Pylant INSIDER Marsh & Bayou Outfitters DECEMBER SNAPPER with Captain Scott King with Super Strike Charters What is different about the fall snapper season? As the water temperatures get cooler, bigger snapper move into depths as shallow as 40ft. This along with the lack of pressure, since the state season closed in early September, will make limits of nice snapper much more accessible to the small boat angler. Any different techniques for the fall season? I like smaller hooks, leader, and weights in shallow water. Don't be afraid to drop down to 50lb. leader especially if the water is clear.
