Semperian was launched in October 2007 as an infrastructure manager that provides its investors with access to a large, diverse portfolio of mature PPP infrastructure investments. To address the demands of a dispersed workforce Semperian implemented a centralised IT infrastructure, which would allow staff access to mission critical information from wherever they were in the country. Semperian had to be confident that all data could be accessed easily and most importantly, securely, via its central hub. To do this effectively a SSO solution was needed across its centralised Active Directory in order to provide authentication to its software platforms - Semperian was then introduced to Secure Cloudlink. Secure Cloudlink is a British cloud security software company that has developed a threefactor, SSO and biometric user authentication solution. It acts as a secure, centralised user authentication and application to manage all users’ access rights to all authorised applications without the need to create and manage internal domains. 40 complaints registered by the ASA has risen steadily, driven in part by the exponential growth of online media. To ensure that all complaints are dealt with efficiently, the ASA maintains a vast complaints management database, which acts as an electronic record of all registered complaints and related correspondence. Claranet established a dedicated disaster recovery environment for the ASA’s complaints management database on its DRaaS platform, with the cloud recovery environment hosted at Claranet’s own UK based data centre on IBM System x3550 M4 servers and shared storage based on IBM Storwize V7000.   The solution handles the switchover to virtual servers in the recovery environment, as well as the switchback to the original production servers once the disaster scenario is over. In future, the ASA plans to gradually migrate more of its enterprise systems, including email, customer relationship management and document management applications to Claranet’s disaster recovery platform, ensuring end-to-end business continuity.
