3W Infra Launches IT Infrastructure Relocation
Service in Amsterdam, Frankfurt and London
3W Infra has announced the expansion of its managed services offering with the
launch of 3W Infra IT Infrastructure Relocation – a newly delivered data centre neutral
relocation service for IT infrastructures housed in data centres located in the Amsterdam
region, Frankfurt and London.
The new managed service, 3W Infra IT Infrastructure Relocation, delivered by 3W
Infra’s certified mobile engineering teams, is aimed at different types of users, including
enterprises, cloud services providers (CSPs), systems integrators (SIs), managed services
providers (MSPs) and colocation companies. Uniquely, the 3W Infra IT Infrastructure
Relocation service is being delivered beyond the scope of the company’s own Amsterdam
based flagship data centre and its existing global IaaS customer base.
For 3W Infra’s engineering teams it doesn’t matter if customers are in need of a
bulky server migration or relocation of just a small amount of servers. 3W’s project
management department is capable of any relocation project; this will soon become
evident as they have commenced relocating 3W’s own IaaS environment with 4,000
dedicated servers under management to a new, redundant and energy efficient data
centre in Amsterdam.

Huawei Extends its Cooperation with Canonical
Huawei and Canonical have announced they are expanding their cooperation in
enterprise and telecom clouds to announce that they have completed the integration of
CloudFabric Cloud Data Centre Network Solution and Canonical’s Ubuntu OpenStack.
The joint solution integrates the Agile Controller, Huawei’s SDN controller,
with Ubuntu OpenStack to improve the efficiency of deploying and maintaining
multiple data centre networks. A large number of controller nodes can be
deployed in minutes to interoperate with the cloud platform quickly. Enterprises or
telecom cloud platforms that are using or plan to use Ubuntu OpenStack platform
can directly connect their OpenStack platform with the Agile Controller to enable
quick, flexible service deployment and integration in multiple data centres.
Canonical’s OpenStack Interoperability Lab in Boston builds more than 3,000
OpenStack clouds every month to test and verify the interoperability of different
hardware, SDN and software combinations, helping customers to integrate and
deploy their cloud platforms and SDN solutions in a secure environment. By
cooperating with Canonical, Huawei makes another step toward an all-cloud
network management ecosystem.

Teradata IntelliFlex
Improved
Performance,
Storage Density
and Energy
Efficiency with
All-memory SSD
Platform
Teradata has announced an all-
memory update to its flagship
Teradata IntelliFlex platform that
delivers extreme performance and
storage density in a single, ultra
efficient cabinet. The upgrades are
empowered by a move to all solid
state drives (SSD), which makes it
possible to reduce required data
centre space while delivering a
massive increase in processing power
for mission critical analytics at the
speed of thought.
Teradata also announced
the new, ready to run Teradata
IntelliBase platform – revolutionary
in its single cabinet support for
multiple software technologies, re-
deployable hardware.
Both products are offered on-
premises, with Teradata IntelliCloud
availability coming soon, and run the
same Teradata database software to
enable a high performance hybrid
cloud solution. Together, these
platforms give customers new
options that can help drive new
business revenue opportunities,
mitigate operational costs, and
accelerate customer service.
Businesses are employing
increasingly advanced analytic
techniques and putting that power
into the hands of more users across
their organisation. As business
demand for analytics increases, a
