meet me room MARIANNE CALDER - PUPPET As vice president of Puppet in Europe, Middle East and Africa, Marianne Calder leads the sales and go-to- market team to fuel extensive growth across the region. Marianne has a tremendous record in driving growth, talent development and innovation. Born in Denmark, Marianne has previously worked in America, studied in France and is now settled in the UK. Previous to Puppet, Marianne enjoyed a commercial role at the Danish Consulate in San Francisco before moving to Cisco where she built a long career across global accounts, inside sales and would later become MD for the EMEA Collaboration Architecture Team. Passionate about the team and technologies at Puppet, Marianne is also dedicated to encouraging more women into the technology scene and, as well as other charities close to her heart, is a trustee and board member of Disability Initiative. Does your college/university education have any specific relevance to the career you have now? Yes, absolutely. I studied International Communications and Business Strategy at Copenhagen Business School and my current role is all about communicating and building a team to work with customers and partners across EMEA, so a lot of what I learnt is relevant to my job. 14 | June 2017 Looking back on your career so far, is there anything you might have done differently? No, I don’t think there is, even if nothing quite happened in the way I expected it would after graduating from college! I have been lucky to have been able to take some risks, travel and study around the world. An initial study year in France motivated me onto a three-month MBA course in California, where I continued to find new and exciting
