Custodian selects SSE Enterprise Telecoms for dark fibre delivery project

SSE Enterprise Telecoms has announced its selection by Custodian Data Centres to deliver two diverse dark fibre routes to link its flagship data centre in Maidstone , Kent with two London-based facilities .
The new dark fibre being provided by SSE Enterprise Telecoms will support the continued growth of Custodian which requires increased network capacity as it completes the build of four new data floors . Custodian will be lighting the fibre itself , meaning that their existing connectivity to the capital will benefit from reduced latency to 0.4m / s .
The partnership means that Custodian also benefits from SSE Enterprise Telecoms ’ high capacity optical networking service LIGHTNOW , which links 23 of London ’ s busiest data centres with 1Gb / s and 10Gb / s Ethernet wavelength connectivity . Ultimately , this will give Custodian ’ s customers the ability to cherry pick data centres to achieve a truly best of breed service for its requirements . This will also allow Custodian to further extend its reach as and when needed by immediately connecting additional locations in the capital , with round-the-clock support and at cost-effective prices .
