Fujitsu launches back up solution for hyperconverged infrastructures

Fujitsu has introduced a fresh approach to data protection in virtualised data centres with the Eternus CS200c S3 , a back up solution ideally suited for hyperconverged infrastructures ( HCI ).
This new integrated back up appliance offers a simplified , cost efficient approach to the headache of protecting data across complex physical and virtual IT environments . It joins Fujitsu ’ s range of ready-to-use Eternus CS appliances , which are designed to minimise business risk from missed back ups , post-disaster recovery failures and the corruption of sensitive data .
As a fully integrated solution for the back up , archiving and recovery of unlimited numbers of servers in physical , virtual and cloud based data centres , the Eternus CS200c S3 delivers an all-in-one data protection concept for converged and hyperconverged systems . This means that organisations can now virtualise their critical applications while meeting strict data protection service level agreements ( SLAs ).
Eternus CS200c S3 is preconfigured and customisable out of the box . It dramatically cuts initial setup times for data protection solutions from days to hours . By automating repetitive or highly complex tasks , it streamlines continuity of operation and disaster recovery processes . For further information visit : www . fujitsu . com

Brocade delivers Gen 6 fibre channel directors for the all-flash data centre

Brocade has launched its Gen 6 fibre channel directors for mission critical storage connectivity and business resiliency solutions designed for the all-flash data centre .
The new Brocade X6 director family and the Brocade SX6 extension blade for fibre channel , fibre connection ( FICON ) and IP storage replication , combined with Brocade Fabric Vision technology , enables customers to drive always-on business operations , eliminate performance bottlenecks and adapt to the requirements of digital organisations .
As organisations continue to digitise and adapt to new workloads , they need a modern storage network that supports business agility .
Fibre channel fabrics are the common thread that connects organsations to their most critical applications and data . Ninety-six per cent of banks , insurance companies and retailers rely on fibre channel as the most trusted network infrastructure for storage . Gen 6 fibre channel provides the digital enterprise with non-stop availability and incredible performance required for tomorrow ’ s hyperscale data centres . SIEMON LAUNCHES NEW AISLE CONTAINMENT SOLUTIONS

Siemon has announced the expansion of its line of WheelHouse advanced data centre solutions to include comprehensive aisle containment solutions with both cold aisle containment ( CAC ) and hot aisle containment ( HAC ) options that significantly improve efficiency and cost effectively expand capacity for today ’ s data centres .
By either containing and isolating the cold air supply ( CAC ), or by guiding hot exhaust to overhead return air spaces ( HAC ), the new aisle containment solutions prevent the mixing of hot and cold air in the data centre . This allows for higher temperature return air to improve the efficiency of existing cooling systems and reduce energy costs , whilst preventing overprovisioning of computer room air conditioning ( CRAC ) units . Alternatively , these solutions cost effectively expand the capacity of the data centre to cool higher heat densities , maximising both cabinet and data centre floor space without the need for supplemental cooling .
Designed with robust seals for optimal thermal isolation , the new aisle containment solutions consist of CAC roof panels , HAC standing cabinet panels , single and double manual and selfclosing doors and , end panels that have been designed for quick and easy on site attachment to rows of Siemon VersaPod , V800 and V600 data centre cabinets .
