It enables network operators to securely deploy optical fibre WDM (wavelength division multiplexing) networks to meet increasing bandwidth, reach and security demands. It is a significant upgrade that doubles the port density of the current GigaMux solution. In the current climate of corporate espionage, data security is of the highest importance in protecting confidential information. Utilising the Diffie-Hellman key exchange, the ODC2 Ultra’s prominent feature gives data centres the means to combat this threat with NIST800 certified AES-256 line-speed encryption, offering the highest levels of data security, even against physical media intrusion. The ODC2 Ultra allows data centres to overcome the challenges of delivering reliable and resilient services with Big Data traffic traversing the network that will enhance disaster recovery plans. It is likely to be especially attractive to data heavy applications such as those within the financial services sector. Customers can remotely manage the ODC2 Ultra card using a command line interface, Sorrento Networks’ GigaView Element Management System (EMS), or with SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol), making it compatible with many leading NMS platforms. This enables the means for customers to easily configure network elements, provision services and diagnose problems efficiently. With three EDA4000 expansion chassis, the ReadyNas 4360X offers 1.32PB of data storage on today’s 10TB enterprise hard disk drives. The new ReadyNas 4360X is ideally suited for businesses that have ultra large storage capacity needs and demand high levels of data reliability and security. It’s appropriate for applications such as multi-service/multi-tenant data centre operations, virtual machine back up, disaster recovery back up, archiving and IP surveillance camera video storage. With five levels of data protection, ReadyCloud flexible file sharing, and ReadyDR block-level back up and disaster recovery, ReadyNas 4360X network storage offers outstanding performance and scalability. It’s also easy to manage, with the Netgear Insight management application for iOS and Android, that enables setup, monitoring and management from a mobile device. The new solution will enable Orange customers to simplify the management of their hybrid networks and optimise the performance of both corporate and cloud applications. This launch is a key part of the Orange network-as-a-service strategy, and the solution will be available globally. To deliver this SD-WAN service, Orange will integrate Riverbed SteelConnect technology into its hybrid network portfolio. The two companies are working together to develop a virtual network function (VNF) that customers will be able to deploy on universal customer premise equipment (uCPE) at their site. Full compatibility will be maintained with existing services as enterprises transition applications to the cloud. Riverbed’s SD-WAN offering, SteelConnect, provides an intelligent and simplified approach to designing, deploying and managing hybrid networks. Application performance is improved by real time routing using the optimum links available between different networks. SteelConnect also enables zero-touch provisioning, allowing enterprises to set up global networks quickly with easy management, providing a cost effective and superior end user experience. The first Orange pilot customers will be connected during the second quarter 2017, using managed SteelConnect appliances.
