meet me room ALLAN PATON – RIVERBED TECHNOLOGIES Allan Paton is the regional vice president for Riverbed Technology with overall responsibility for Riverbed’s sales and go-to-market strategy in the UK market. Allan joined Riverbed in 2012 as a result of Riverbed’s acquisition of OPNET Technologies. Prior to Riverbed, Allan has held several senior account management and channel sales positions at OPNET Technologies and Network Physics. Does your college/university education have any specific relevance to the career you have now? Yes, my education started in the Royal Air Force as an apprentice avionics engineer. I then completed my degree in IT and business, which was part of my career plan prior to leaving the service to support my transition into the private sector. throughout my time and have learned a great deal along the way.   Looking back on your career so far, is there anything you might have done differently? Are there any major changes that you would like to see in the data centre industry?
