SERVICE & MAINTENANCE 6.3 DC WEEDROLLER (GEARBOX) TROUBLESHOOTING FLOW CHART 2 WEEDROLLER DOESN’T OPERATE Controller LED light is Flashing? LED ashing GREEN 1 me per second. LED ashing RED 1 me per second. LED ashing GREEN 4 mes per second. LED ashing ORANGE 1 me per second. This indicates motor rotor is locked. Remove the motor and try turning the output sha to con rm that it turns harder than normal or not at all. The motor will need to be replaced (p/n 12011). This is part of normal start up. The controller is coun ng the hours of use. Every ash represents 100 hours of use. When this process is complete the LED should turn solid GREEN and the unit will begin to operate. Lack of brush pressure on the motor commutator is causing an open circuit or a high amp draw. Replace the motor brushes (p/n 14630-00). This indicates there has been a motor overload. YES NO YES Rollers stuck in mud or other obstruc on? Are the motor brushes less than 3/16”? NO Are the motor brushes less than 3/16”? YES Li rollers from the mud and/or remove obstruc on and restart unit. This indicates there is an open within the motor circuit. Check the wiring from the controller to the motor for possible loose or broken wire(s). If this all looks good then there is most likely an open within the motor windings and the motor would need to be replaced. NO Motor is most likely turning harder than normal but is not drawing enough amps to indicate locked rotor. Remove the motor and try turning the output sha to con rm that it turns harder than normal or not at all. The motor will need to be replaced. 51285 R121411 WeedRoller Owner's/Parts Manual 19
