ASSEMBLY & MOUNTING 2.3 ATTACH DOCK MOUNT BRACKETS 1. Position the bottom bracket as low as possible on your dock post. In typical installations, one bracket will be above water and one bracket will be underwater. If one bracket is underwater, use the adjustment knob on the top bracket only. SQUARE DOCK POST ADJUSTMENT KNOB NOTE Position the dock mount brackets at least 18" apart (vertically) to give a stable and secure mount for the drive head For increased stability, place the brackets even farther apart. 2. Attach a dock mount bracket to the dock post with either a V-bolt or U-bolt. Use U-bolts when mounting straight off a square dock post. Use V-bolts for docks with round posts or to achieve a 45 degree mount angle off a square post. Secure the bolt with 3/8" washers and nuts (see the following examples). Position the remaining bracket at least 18" above the bottom bracket, insert the V- or U-bolt, and secure with 3/8" washers and nuts. Torque hardware to 30 ft-lbs.
