Christos Malikkides has been appointed as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence since
November, 2010.
He was born at Kathikas, Paphos, Cyprus on the 15 th August, 1955.
He has served his military service in the National Guard from 1973-1975
Christos Malikkides is a holder of a degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical
University of Athens (1980), a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson
University, USA (1982), and a Master in Public Sector Management from Cyprus International Institute
of Management.
He attended specialized courses on Industrial Pollution Control and Environmental Managemen ]B
