Dear Executives,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
My name is Vasilis Zomenos and i am honored to lead CYPGasTech 2014, the 1st International
Exhibition for Oil & Gas Technology, Equipment, Supplies and Services in Cyprus. In this
capacity, i welcome and thank you all for your presence here today.
As it is known, East Mediterranean has entered a new era on the occation of the discovery of
significant Natural Gas reserves, possibie of Oil as well, as the continuous search for new
significant reserves.
These new data are was enough for our company, Zomidea Design & Services Ltd, to decide on
organizing this event aiming to attract companies from around the globe with our objective to
aid the networking and broaden opportunities between Cypriot and International companies,
of all dynamics.
Thus, we believe that Cyprus will play a dominant role in this and we hope this new-born
exhibition, will add to that, as well. Let me stress that in our attempt to show a pioneer spirit,
we are able to announce the exact dates of all the upcoming exhibitions up to 2020.
CYPGasTech 2014 is being held under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce,
Industry and Tourism of the Republic of Cyprus, which embraced this event from the very
beginning, and also supported by the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the
Municipality of Limassol, the Cyprus Oil & Gas Association, last but not least, all the
CYPGasTech exhibitors aiming to create a new “status” in the heart of East Mediterranean.
We are thankful to all of you.
In conclusion, i need for once again to welcome you all and i would like to call the
Hydrocarbons Service Acting Director, Dr Stelios Nikolaidis, representing the Ministry of Energy,
Commerce Industry & Tourism of the Republic of Cyprus to begin the opening ceremony.
