Lesedi Cuba Sedibelwana, Mufaro Chikazunga and Carlos Assim
Juma participated in the Natural Sciences quiz at Silverton High
School on 11 September 2018. They were accompanied by their
teachers Chrispen Kajawu and Sonia Moremi. The learners came
first in the first circuit round. Well done!
Curro Academy Mahikeng is proud of Sonke Tshidiso Vusumuzi
Mavuma (Grade 12). He received the dux learner award at the
high school prize-giving ceremony. Sonke received this award
because he was the top academic achiever in all of his subjects
and he was also active in sport.
The award for the primary school dux learner went to Jordan Graaff
and Laeeqa Khan was the top achiever in the foundation phase.

RIVERSIDE
A bronze medal for Curro Riverside
Mukundi Mangumani from Grade 5 represented Curro Academy Riverside in October at the
International Science Fair. She presented her Natural Sciences project, the ‘water transporter’, as
a solution to help save water in South Africa. She was the youngest competitor, competing against
learners from all over the world, and brought home a bronze medal. Riverside is so proud of this
young scientist!

ACADEMY worked hard
PRETORIA
The Grade 7 learners showed their marketing and business
skills at entrepreneurs’ day on 30 August 2018 as part of
Economics and Management Sciences. The proceeds
were given back to the learners for all their hard work.
