What an appropriate day to start the tour – Heritage Day. On this day 44 Meridian Northern Academy
learners embarked on exploring Gauteng. Altelekker Youth Camp was used as a base; the attraction
being the sparkling swimming pool.
On this six-day tour the learners visited the Voortrekker Monument, the Apartheid Museum,
Constitutional Hill, the Wits University Planetarium, the Maropeng Science Centre and Sterkfontein
Caves. A lot of information was obtained at these
educational destinations.

a break from al the learning, such as a day outing
to Gold Reef City, the Mall of Africa, Bounce Inc. at

Everyone had an adventure to be long remembered.
