It comes from overcoming the thing you once thought you couldn’t.’ – Rikki Rogers CURRO ACADEMY Through hard work and everyday training, Mrs Tracey Havenga, the Grade R Head, and Tshediso Molatlhegi, a Grade 7 learner and prefect, represented North West at the South African Cross- country Championship in Port Elizabeth in September. MAHIKENG Dance stars and science expo Three of Curro Academy Mahikeng’s learners, Thabang Mokgehle (Grade 10), Maya Phele (Grade 2) and Juanita de Gouveia (Grade 11) participated in the finals of DanceStar South Africa. The competition took place in Croatia (Italy) from 21 to 27 May 2018. The standard of the competition was very high. Twenty five countries took part and South Africa was well represented. Curro Academy Mahikeng is very proud of all the participants. Tshediso Molatlhegi and Mrs Tracey Havenga Soccer stars in the making During the September school holidays three players participated in the Curro Nationals at Curro Hillcrest. These boys were divided into different teams and played with boys from all over the region. Leano Kekae’s team (Jacarandas under 11A) won the soccer tournament for 2018. The other two boys’ teams also played excellent matches during this tournament. Two of the boys were extremely thrilled about the trip, because going to Durban was a first for them. The school took the opportunity and turned it into a small holiday in-between the busy schedule of playing soccer. This was one fun week! CURRO Curro Academy Pretoria has talented learners ACADEMY PRETORIA On 14 September 2018 Curro Academy Pretoria hosted a talent show for the primary school.
