We are a model utility in proactive lead abatement:
• We removed known lead service lines in the 1980s.
• We discontinued lead joints and replaced brass meters.
• We optimize corrosion control in our system. This prevents lead from leaching into
the water should there be lead fixtures in homes.
• We regularly sample tap water from homes. Results are consistently below
action levels.
