What Is Green Infrastructure?
As we upgrade our aging sewer system, the Sewer System Improvement Program will use green and grey infrastructure
projects to manage stormwater. Our green infrastructure projects will use sustainable features like rain gardens and
permeable paving to keep stormwater from entering our combined sewer system. While this helps our sewers function
better, our neighbors also appreciate the benefits of enhanced beautification and traffic calming.
