San Francisco’s Symphony
Music is Solar Powered
‘Tis the season to enjoy beautiful holiday music powered by clean energy!
Davies Symphony Hall now receives about 16% of its energy from two
solar installations. Together, the two solar arrays generate enough clean
energy to power approximately 64 San Francisco homes.
Since 2003, the City has prioritized the installation of 23 solar arrays (and
counting) to generate clean, greenhouse-gas free renewable energy.
Every solar array lowers our city’s greenhouse gas emissions, and helps
make San Francisco a more resilient, sustainable place to live and work.
With arrays atop City Hall, SFO, schools, libraries, and our own
headquarters at 525 Golden Gate Avenue, these solar installations can
generate up to a combined 8.1 megawatts of clean energy for San
Francisco. Find out more at sfwater.org/solar.
